The Heart Healing Method

The Heart Healing Method

Bridging the Gap from Head to Heart.

The Heart Healing Method (HHM) is a holistic approach to emotional and spiritual healing that is grounded in biblical principles and neuroscience.

HHM addresses wounds of the heart that arise from living in a fallen and broken world. These wounds—even unintentional ones from childhood—can lead to the formation of deep-seated lies about ourselves or God, that shape our identity, thinking, and behavior.

The process of heart healing involves identifying these wounds, confronting the lies they perpetuate, and allowing God’s truth to replace them.

We’re Nataly & Jeanie

Together we have over 40 years of experience in coaching and guiding people through inner healing so they live in the full freedom that Jesus died to give them!

The ultimate goal of the HHM is to help individuals be free from patterns of thinking and behaving that don’t align with God’s truth about who they are in Christ. Instead of focusing on behavior management, as some methods do, HHM identifies the roots of the symptoms, and healing comes through revelation and encounters with God.

Key Themes in the Heart Healing Method

Establishing the Kingdom Within

Romans 14:17 says the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, yet many believers do not manifest those conditions in their lives. Instead of living in peace and joy with an assurance of sonship in God’s family, many act like fearful slaves who don’t know their identity in Christ. The goal of HHM is to establish the Kingdom within every believer so that it can be released into their families and communities.

Triune Nature of Humanity

Because humans are made up of three interconnected parts—spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23)—true healing isn’t just emotional or spiritual but it affects the body and overall well-being. HHM emphasizes that healing must address all these aspects to be complete. The healing of the soul—our emotions and our hearts—is directly tied to the health of the body and spirit (3 John 1:2; Proverbs 4:23).

Emotional Wounds and Lies

Emotional wounds can manifest in various forms: often they stem from unmet needs for connection, comfort, and security in childhood or various traumas experienced. These wounds often cause individuals to form false beliefs about who they are or how they relate to God. Unless these lies are exposed and replaced by God’s truth, healing remains incomplete. This healing process is rooted in Isaiah 61:1, where God promises to heal the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom to the captives, and release those in spiritual darkness.

Generational Healing

Emotional and spiritual wounds can impact not only the individual but also affect subsequent generations. These wounds can manifest in patterns of behavior, beliefs, or curses that perpetuate cycles of hurt across generational lines. Heart healing helps break these generational cycles to ensure that the same emotional or spiritual bondages do not bind future generations. This will bring lasting transformation to families, communities, and beyond.

Isaiah 61-1:4

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3. and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. 4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities.
